SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTY IN ENUGU STATE OVEREMPHASIZED
The Enugu State Government has charged members of Neighborhood Watch Association to be more committed to securing lives and property of the people.
The Commissioner for Human Capital development and Poverty Reduction, Deacon Obinna Mbaeke gave the charge during the reconstitution of the Agbaechara Neighborhood Watch in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Deacon Mbaeke said the programme was designed to complement the efforts of the Nigerian Police Force in the fight against insecurity in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the State Director, Neighborhood Watch Association, Mr. Uchenna Ozomgbachi stressed the need for members of the association to make accountability their watchword.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Agboechara Neighborhood Watch, Mr. Patrick Achi promised to work hard to ensure security is restored in the area.
