SECURITY AGENCIES IN ANAMBRA STATE RECEIVE COMMENDATION FOR WORK WELL DONE
Anambra State of Assembly has commended security agencies in the state for making the area what it described as the safest in the country.
The Lawmakers made the commendation during the plenary session of the House in Awka.
In a motion, the member representing Anyamelum Constituency, Mr Uche Okafor noted that without the security agencies the state could have been what it was in years past.
Contributing the member representing Njikoka Two Constituency, Dr. Pete Ibida emphasized the need to ensure that everything was done to sustain the security situation prevailing in the state.
Meanwhile, in a matter of urgent public importance, the House called on Governor Willie Obiano to direct the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor to commence the rehabilitation of a portion of AGURUEZECHUKWU-OGBOJI-NDIOKPALAEZE-AJALI road to save the people from imminent danger.
A report on a bill for the control of burial and funeral activities in Anambra State was presented during the session.
