RESIDENTS TOLD NOT TO PANIC AS 82 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY HOST CAPTAIN-MAJOR PRACTICAL PROMOTION EXAMINATION

 Residents of Enugu metropolis and Nsude-Udi community along Ninth Mile are urged not to panic on seeing sporadic movements of military vehicles and Personnel from Monday to Friday this week.

This is because the Eighty-Two Division, Nigerian Army is to host Captain-Major Practical Promotion Examination for 2017 at those locations.

The examination is intended to test the intellectual and professional ability of candidates as well as improve on their capacity and knowledge base in the discharge of their duties.

The Division in a statement by the Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa explains that candidates will also be tested on map reading, tactics and low intensity conflicts, communication, staff duties and French language as directed by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.

A team of observers from the Army Headquarters, directing staff and members of the examinations panel drawn from formations and units of the Nigerian Army will be involved in the conduct of the exercise.

The statement further informs the public that there will be movement of vehicles conveying troops in selected field locations for the examination.
