POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED FOR DEFILING 7 YEAR OLD GIRL IN ABAKALIKI
Ebonyi state police command says it has arrested a police officer for allegedly defiling a seven year old girl in Abakaliki. According to investigations, the suspect was said to have lured the victim into his apartment located off Nibo Street Abakaliki where he allegedly committed the crime. Confirming the incident on telephone, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mrs Peace Ibekwe Abdallah explained that the matter was reported to the Central Police Station by the minor’s parents while the suspect had been detained for interrogation. Correspondent Amechi Odo reports that the alleged incident is coming barely a week the Command announced the dismissal of a Police Corporal attached to Afikpo Division for defiling a nine year old girl.
