POLICE KILL ONE SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, ARREST TWO OTHERS IN EBONYI

Police in Ebonyi State have shot dead a suspected kidnapper and arrested two others following the kidnapping of a Clergyman in the state whose name is not given.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Ms Onome Onovwakpoyeya, explained that the suspects were intercepted at Ndofia Ishieke in Ebonyi Local Government Area where they abandoned their victim and fled.
It further stated that they later engaged the Command’s Tactical Team in a gun fight, which resulted in the killing of one of them and arrest of the two.
Items said to have been recovered from the suspects included two AK 47 rifles, one Lar Rifle and two vehicles, which includes one belonging to the victim.
