PDP ABIA HOLDS PEACEFUL WARD CONGRESS

The People Democratic Party (PDP) Abia State ward Congress to elect its ward executives has taken place across all the wards in the state. The exercise, which was peaceful, witnessed a large turnout of party members. At Ntigha ward 8 in Isialangwa North Local Government Area, party members were seen standing and waiting to be counted on queue.

Speaking on the occasion, a PDP Chieftain and members representing Isialangwa North Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Ginger Onwuesibe, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the exercise and commended party members for coming out in their numbers for the exercise. At Nkata and Ajata in Umuahia North Local Government Area, the story was the same as the exercise went peacefully.

Some of the party members in an interview said that they decided to come out to participate in the Congress as the party believed in transparency and rule of law.
