OVER 1000 CHILDREN IN ABIA STATE RECEIVE FREE COMPUTER TRAINING

Abia-stateEducation has been described as the best legacy any government can bequeath to its younger generation.

A former Secretary to Abia State Government, Professor Mkpa Agu Mkpa made the assertion at the closing ceremony of 2017 Free Holiday Computer Training organized by the present administration for school children in the area.

He commended the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on his giant stride in the area of education, noting that effective usage of computer sets would broaden the knowledge of the children.

Professor Mkpa urged the children to make proper use of the knowledge they had acquired during the training.

In a remark, the Chief Librarian Abia State E-library, Miss Pearl Solomon said that the aim of the Holiday lesson was to enable the school children to acquire the knowledge of ICT.

Some of the participants in an interview expressed happiness for being part of the training, stating that they had learnt a lot from the programme. Over one thousand school children attended the free holiday computer training.
