44 GRADUATES OF SKILLS ACQUISITION PROGRAMME EMPOWERED IN ABIA

AbiaThe wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu has advised youths to channel their God given talents to useful ventures.

Mrs. Ikpeazu gave the advice during the empowerment of forty four graduates trained under the State Government’s Skills Acquisition Programme in Umunneochi Local Government Area.

Items distributed during the occasion include twelve computer laptops, ten sewing machines, twelve hair dressing machines and micro waves, courtesy of Mrs. Ikpeazu.

The wife of the Governor urged them to effectively use the equipment given to them to improve on their livelihood, noting that she decentralized the training to enable the three senatorial zones in the state to benefit from the training.

In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Dr. Nnenna Chikezie said the programme was put together by the State Government to put smiles on the faces of the downtrodden.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Ozioma Okorie expressed gratitude to the government for empowering them to be self-reliant and pledged to use the equipment judiciously.
