NYSC INITIATES SKILLS ACQUISITION PROGRAMME FOR CORPS MEMBERS IN ABIA STATE

Youths have been described as the engine that drives the nation’s economy.

The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps Abia State, Mrs. Francesca Ifon made this known during the grand finale of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programm and exhibition products at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Umunna in Bende Local Government Area of the state.

Mrs. Ifon noted that the country desired the participation of youths in the economic sector of the Nation.

She appealed to the corps members to take advantage of the knowledge they got from the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training to become self reliant.

In a remark, the Assistant Director Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, SAED NYSCE Abia State, Venerable Sam Njoku commended the corps members for their cooperation, discipline, dedication, commitment and great desire for value addition to their lives.

He explained that the programm was initiated by NYSC to resort hope and make corps members to become self reliant rather than job seekers after their service year.
