Senator-OgbaThe Senator Representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone, Chief Obinna Ogba has assured Nigerians that the National Assembly will perform its oversight function effectively for speedy implementation of the 2016 Budget.

Chief Ogba stated this at an event to empower some less privileged people in his constituency at Nkalagu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the State.

“There are many countries that survived without oil, Nigeria had been surviving before oil came and we can also survive through agriculture products. I support the encouragement of farmers to be able to have a lot of produce” he said.

In a remark the Council Chairman, Mr. Hillary Eze explained that the gesture would go a long way in complementing the effort of the state government to ameliorate economic hardship facing those at the grassroots.

Some of the beneficiaries described the empowerment as a stepping stone towards alleviating their sufferings and promised to put the tools to effective use.

“Infact, I don’t know how to express my feelings, but my prayer is that God will continue to bless him and also that God should help me to use this to be able to train my children and other people”
