LEXUS CRUSH TRICYCLE IN ENUGU

An ash colour Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Monday evening rammed a tricycle at Ebeano Tunnel roundabout, Garden Avenue, Enugu.

Though no life was lost, the vehicle was badly damaged as it skidded off the road alongside the tricycled that turned upside down, a situation that attracted a crowd, causing, temporarily, heavy human and vehicular traffic at the junction.

An eyewitness, who gave his name as Rogers Chuks, told Radio Nigeria that he was surprised that the vehicule, which was not initially on speed, suddenly sped off, causing the accident.

Accorging to Mr. Chuks, the sudden speed could be caused either that the vehicle failed break on the sloppy road or that the driver mistakenly peddled the accelerator instead of the break.

As at the time of filing this report, though it was raining, sympathisers were seen assisting the driver of vehicle and two occupants of the tricycle out of the wreckage.
