LAWMAKER PROVIDES FREE MEDICARE AS CHRISTMAS GIFT TO CONSTITUENTS
Over 100 indigent and sick persons from Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State have benefited from a free medical outreach organized by the member representing the area in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Paul Nnajiofor.
The free healthcare outreach covered cases of ulcer, malaria, hypertension, sugar level check and diabetes.
Speaking shortly before the commencement of the treatment, Chief Nnajiofor said the idea was to reach out to the less privileged and contribute to saving lives.
He commended the good leadership of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in the state, noting that it had created a platform for democracy to thrive.
In a remark, the Director of Pharmacy, Enugu State Ministry of Health, Mr. Casmir Odo who represented the State the Commissioner for Health at the event, commended the lawmaker for the initiative and pledged the support of government to ensure that if covered a wider range.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked God for touching their lives through Chief Nnajiofor and promised to support the policies of the state government for more dividends of democracy.
