LATE KESHI’S WIFE, a lovely wife and mother.

Former Super Eagles Coach, Austin Eguavoen has described the death of the wife of Stephen Keshi, former Super Eagles Coach, late Kate Keshi, as a huge loss to all sports lovers in Nigeria. According to Eguavoen, his own wife was late Kate’s Chief bridesmaid during their wedding in Belgium. He described Kate as a “wonderful person who was very close to my family”. Drawn to open tears, he said his family will miss the deceased dearly, who was god mother to his first daughter, describing her as “a lovely wife, mother and sister”

It was a harvest of tears when the remains of Late Kate Keshi was lowered to mother earth Thursday in her husband’s residence, in Ugbor, GRA, Benin City, Edo State, after a requiem mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Benin City.

A former Falcons Coach, Godwin Ezine sympathized with Keshi and prayed that God Almighty gives him the strength and courage with his family to stand the test of time. He said the demise of Late Kate called for sober reflection and readiness for a long life of permanent separation from the deceased. He expressed sadness that no one can question God, accept the fate.

On his part Keshi described his late wife as a unique woman. “A wife that every man would love to have.

I am honoured that people took out of their busy time to come out and give their last respect to my wife. Most of them have been with my wife, they knew her and probably that’s why they are here. I thank them and every other person, the press, and all Nigerians who were in prayers with my family. I am grateful”.

The Technical Director of the Super Eagles, Shuaibu Amodu, and officials of the NFF were among dignitaries that attended the burial.
