LAND DISPUTE: ENUGU SPEAKER AND 4 COMMISSIONERS ACCUSED OF TRESPASS

Barely four months after an Enugu High Court declared Mr. Jude Jonathan Emejulu the rightful owner of a land at Airport Road Layout Phase IV and V Thinkers Corner Emene, some individuals have continued to trespass on it.

Radio Nigeria investigation revealed that such individuals are rebuilding illegal structures demolished under the supervision of court officials in the said land.

According to investigation, the activities are on-going in the presence of some Police officers.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Emejulu said that apart from continuing with the trespass, his life was being threatened. He claimed that the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly; the State Commissioners for Transport; Commerce and Industry; as well as that of lands, suspected to be behind the trespass failed to honour an invitation to the Police Headquarters Abuja over the matter.

Mr. Emejulu advised people seeking for property to buy, to stay away from the land in their own interest.

Efforts to get reactions of some of the mentioned officials failed as they declined to comment.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amarizu confirmed that the matter was previously reported to the Police Command in the State.
