JUDGES TOLD TO BE GUIDED BY THEIR OATH OF OFFICE

A legal Luminary, Justice Prisicilia Emehelu has advised judges in the country to be guided by their oath of Office which is characterized by honesty, probity and impartiality, to ensure an impeccable service record.

Justice Emehelu gave the advice at a State High Court in Enugu during a Court Session

The legal Luminary who is also the State Chief Judge called for quick dispensation of Justice in the country.

Justice Emehelu maintained that Judges should not accept bribes, so as not to circumvent Justice .

Earlier, while performing his last judgment, retired Justice Eddy Onyia called for harmonization of disparity in the ages of High Court , Appeal Court and Supreme Court Judges since they preformed similar functions.

The Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Mrs Nkiru Ugwu admonished colleagues to adhere strictly to the ethics of the profession.
