GOV. UZODINMA SWEARS IN CABINET MEMBERS, TO BE ASSIGNED PORTFOLIOS LATER

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State says his administration will continue to accord priority to welfare of citizens, especially those in its workforce. The Governor stated this during the swearing in of Commissioners, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants in Owerri to constitute the state executive council.

Governor Uzodinma directed the commissioners to fast track the ongoing verification of workers aimed at fishing out non-existent workers (ghost workers) in the system to ensure prompt payment of salaries.

He charged the newly sworn in appointees to be dedicated to duty and work towards the realization of the goals of his administration. The Governor warned that he would not hesitate to discipline anyone found wanting.

One of the Commissioners, Professor Bernard Ikegwuoha, thanked God for their new appointment and noted that the team would swing into action to address the infrastructural challenges facing the state. The Commissioners, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants will be assigned portfolios on Wednesday this week.
