GIRL MURDERS 30 YEAR BOYFRIEND IN IMO

The Imo State Police Command has arrested one Chinelo Joseph from Okigwe for alleged murder of his lover Okenna Ekwebelem. A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu, said  the suspect had visited the deceased but argument ensued when she was about to leave after spending hours with the thirty year old lover.

Mr. Ikeoku explained that efforts by the deceased to lure the lover to pass the night with him was met with resistance, which culminated to the deceased beating up the girl. He noted that the suspect reached for a weapon and hit the deceased boyfriend who fell and died instantly.

Mr. Ikeoku stated that the suspect, who is in her twenties had confessed to the crime and would soon face prosecution.
