GET-RICH-QUICK: SON KILLS FATHER IN ABIA COMMUNITY

A 27-year-old man in Abia State, Chinalu Ogbonna, has allegedly killed his father and removed his left eye with the intention of using it for money ritual.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Abia State, Mrs. Maureen Chinaka, who confirmed the development, said detectives from the Central Police Station in Umuahia on receiving a report, rushed to the crime scene and found the lifeless body of Mr. Mmaduka Ogbonna, with his left eye removed.

She said the suspect, who was living with his father at Umu Eze Road, Amuzukwu Ibeku, in Umuahia North Local Government Area had been apprehended.

The Police spokesperson in Abia State said while the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue for autopsy, and exhibits recovered, the case was currently under investigation and would be taken to court.
