FLOOD DESTROYS GOODS IN OGBETE MARKET, ENUGU
Goods worth millions of Naira have been damaged by flood along the Zone One Rail Line Ogbete Main Market Enugu.
They are majorly telephones and their accessories, electronics and Mattresses.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria reporter, some leaders in the line, including Messrs Paul Ibeano and IK Eneja, said that over ten shops were affected by the flood.
Some other traders whose shops were directly affected, Mrs. Chioma Nwaogbodo and Mr. Samson Okeke, expressed bitterness and called for financial assistance.
Both the affected persons and other traders in the line said urgent action should be taken by the market authority and others to prevent future embarrassment.
Meanwhile the flood was said to have been caused by blockage in the normal drainage channel in the area.
