ENUGU STATE RECORDS ELEVENTH COVID-19 CASE

The Enugu State Governor, Chief ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has announced the eleventh confirmed case of COVID-19, in the State.

He is a forty year old man, who had been in Kano State and returned to Enugu on the fourth of this month.

Governor Ugwuanyi who made this known in a broadcast noted that all the confirmed cases in the State were imported, flouting the presidential order on inter-state travel ban.

Chief Ugwuanyi revealed that the index COVID-19 cases who had been treated and discharged were a couple from Isiuzo Local Government Area of the State with travel history to United Kingdom and Dubai.

He said that the third case, which involved a female, an indigene of Bauchi with travel history to Bauchi and Plateau States, had contact with the fifth, sixth, seventh, eight and tenth cases.

While fourth confirmed  case was also a female, an indigene of Umuchigbo in Enugu East Local Government Area who together with the ninth case, her nine year old daughter returned from Lagos State.

He advised those in charge of all the land boarders to be more cautious of their areas to check the influx of people into the State and spread of the virus.
