ENUGU POLICE COMMAND BEGIN MOB UP ILLEGAL WEAPONS

A task force to mop up all illegal fire arms has been set up in Enugu state.
The state Commissioner of police, Mr. Dan Mallam Mohammed stated this while briefing newsmen in Enugu.
Mr. Mohammed explained that the move was a directive from the Inspector General of Police following proliferation of arms and attacks witnessed recently in parts of the country.
The Commissioner warned that anybody found in possession of illegal fire arms would be prosecuted.
The task force is headed by the Assistant Commissioner of police in charge of operations, Mr. Frank Idu.
