BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS —NYSC DG TELLS CORPS MEMBERS IN ABIA

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yusuah Ahmed, has urged corps members to always sustain the spirit of patriotism, hard work and resilience they acquired during their orientation period as they servie the father land.
Brigadier General Ahmed made this known in a message to the closing of Orientation Course for 2023 batch A stream 2 corps members posted to Abia State at the permanent orientation camp in Umunna, Bende Local Government Area of the state.
Represented by the Coordinator of the scheme in the state, Mrs. Ufuoma Dick, Brigadier General Ahmed charged the corps members to strive to meet the expectations of Nigerians by contributing their quota towards the progress and development of the country.
He enjoined them to pertorm their duties with diligence and be guided by the provisions of the NYSC Act and Bye-Laws as well as workplace rules and regulations.
The NYSC DG also urged corps members to be security conscious at all times and steer clear of acts that may put them in danger.
This includes staying out late in the night, attending night parties, visitation of dangerous places, and acceptance of free car rides from strangers.
He appealed to corps employers to always accept corps members posted to them, and make the necessary provisions for their welfare as well as mentor them properly to enable them to develop their potentials.
Radio Nigeria gathered that 1,162 corps members participated in the three week orientation training in Abia State.
