ANAMBRA STATE ASSURES OF READINESS TO HOST NIGERIA POLICE GAMES
Anambra State Government says all sporting facilities ahead of the Nigeria Police Games Would be ready before the commencement of the competition. Governor Willie Obiano made the pledge shortly after inspecting the level of work at some of the facilities visited preparatory to NPF Games, ANAMBRA 2020.
Governor Obiano, who expressed joy at the extent of work done so far on the facilities, described sports as a unifying factor in the country. He gave an assurance that hospitality of the host state was of utmost importance to his government and urged the people to be law abiding. The Governor said twenty games would be competed for during the fiesta.
Some of the facilities inspected included Rojenny Games Village, Oba; Otuocha Township Stadium; NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/ Mbaukwu; Tansi International college, Okpuno; and Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square Awka. The police games, which will draw officers and men of the Nigeria Police force from the thirty-six states of the federation and the FCT Abuja, will start from February 28, 2020 and ends on March 8, 2020.
