ANAMBRA LOCKDOWN: OBOSI BUSINESS COMMUNITY STANDS STILL

The lockdown announced by the Anambra State Government few days ago, withnessed total compliance in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area. The ever busy Nkpor junction had few people, who bought foodstuff briskly in a nearby minimarket in the area.

Radio Nigeria observed that shops on Ukwu Udala down to Union Secondary School, Obosi were under lock, while a few provision stores were opened with scarcely displaced goods and the shop owners on the alert in case of appearance of security personnel.

Tricycle operators were carried two passengers only as directed by the government while commercial buses were off the road as there were no commuters.

Our Correspondent, who monitored the level of compliance, observed that the road to the Community Secondary School Obosi was empty while Police Patrol Team went round the areas ensuring full compliance.
