AIG TASKS NEW ACPs ON ETHICAL CONDUCT, ADVOCATES RETRAINING OF PERSONNEL

The Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra State, Mr. Olofu Adejoh, says there is the need for training and retraining of personnel serving in the zone so that they will be active and effective in their duties.

He stated this when he toured the Police Command in Enugu State to ascertain the level of activeness of the personnel serving in the state.

A statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Ihunwo, notes that the AIG also decorated newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police in the state.

The statement noted that the AIG advised the newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) to always abide and work according to the ethics of the profession.

He further encouraged them to be of good behaviour, “never to abuse the rank or use it to intimidate others; rather ensure they protect all those around them.”

According to the statement, the officers were promoted from the ranks of Chief Superintendents of Police to Assistant Commissioners of Police were Mr. Ifeanyi Nnoye and Mr. Eneta Patrick.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ahmed Ammani, advised the new ACPs to be more active and diligent in their duties.
