ACCOUNTANTS IN ENUGU STATE URGED TO FIGHT IMPEDIMENTS TO TSA
Accountants in Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Enugu State are advised to remain committed in harnessing increased revenue generation of the state.
The State Commissioner for Finance , Mrs Eucharia Offor who represented the Governor at a training on Revenue collection under the Treasury Single Account, TSA Model gave the advice.
The Chairman, Internal Revenue Service, Chief Emeka Odo in a remark during the opening session reminded participants that it was illegal to open any other account outside the States Treasury Single Account.
The State Accountant General , Mr Paschal Okolie explained that the training was aim at identifying impediments stopping the full realization of the TSA and urged all to avail themselves of the opportunity.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Training, Mrs Sylvia Onwubuemeli encouraged participants to always exhibit virtues for their subordinates to emulate and remain relevant in realizing the vision of the state government.
Two Resource persons, Mr Patrick Uburu and Mr Osasere Atohenggbe partnering the State Government said the participants would be better equipped to serve after the training.
Some participants, Mr Ikenna Ezeugwu and Mrs Victoria Udeh said they were determined to put the benefits they derived to ensure effective services.
