Radio Nigeria spoke with some residents of the area on the visit of Mr. President to the state.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria the Chairman All Progressives Congress in the state, Chief DonatusNwankpa, said that the party had put everything in order to ensure a successful visit of the number one citizen.
Chief Nwankpaexpressed the hope that the visit of President Buhari to the state would bring a lot of ventures and open up a stronger cordial relationship between the presidency and the state.
He also urged the people to come out en mass to give Mr. President a rousing reception.
Similarly, the Chairman Inter Parties Advisory Council IPAC in the state, Prince EmekaOkafor described the visit of President MuhammaduBuhari to Abia state as a welcome development stating that people of the state irrespective of party differences are happy to receive Mr. President in the state.
Also, anAPCChieftain in the state, Chief Augustine Anyaegbu noted that Abia being a peaceful state, the people were in high spirit to welcome Mr. President to the state.
As the people welcome President Buhari to Abia state some of the roads in Umuahia the state capital have been decorated with banners of pictures of Mr. President and the Vice President, Professor YemiOsibanjo.
