A 7 YEAR OLD GIRL SUSTAINS GRAVE INJURIES FROM A HOT KNIFE

A seven year old Miss Ezinne has sustained grave injuries from a hot knife inflicted on her by her guardian, MAMA CHIDUBEM.

Last week, Ezinne  who live at number five Ugwunwani Street Ugbene, Abakpa Nike Enugu, East Local Government Area of Enugu State with her aunty, Mama Chidubem was discovered with severe bruises which she said her aunty inflicted on her because she used razor and shaped her eyelids.

In an interview, their aged landlord, Mr. James Ugwu said he was not aware of the act until Ezinne came out with other children to collect biscuit from a tenant that people noticed wounds on her body.

 The husband, Mr. Ifeanyi Enwe and Mama Chidubem were not seen to speak as a female relation who did not want her name mentioned, alleged that the couple had been taken away by an organization.

 In another interview, a tenant, Mrs. Ngozi Ayogu said that she noticed after two days that Ezinne had wounds on her body.

 When Radio Nigeria contacted the Enugu State Police Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu explained that the Command had not been informed abut the incident.

Mr. Amaraizu who condemned the act, promised that the Command would take it up immediately the matter was reported to the police.

He advised the public to always report such cases to the police to avoid future occurrence in the society.

Mama Chidubem hails from Abakaliki in Ebonyi State.
