45 SUSPECTS IN POLICE NET IN IMO STATE
The Imo State Police Command has paraded forty five suspects over alleged involvement in criminal activities.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Dasuki Galadanchi said the arrests were as a result of renewed vigor by the Police to reduce crime in them area.
He explained that the Command had adopted Community Policing approach in line with the Inspector General of Police’s directive which he said had started yielding benefits.
Mr Galadanchi said the police were determined to ensure adequate protection of lives and property in the State.
Some of the suspects’ cases ranged from robbery, child stealing and illegal possession of firearms.
Items allegedly recovered from them, included fourteen locally made pistols, nine pump action guns and fifty one rounds of live ammunitions.
