21 COUNCIL CHAIRMEN RECEIVE THE NOD OF ANAMBRA STATE LAWMAKERS

Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Transition Committee Chairmen of the twenty-one Local Government Councilsing the State.

The Lawmaker made the confirmation during the plenary session of the House in Awka.

The Speaker of the House, Mrs Rita Maduagwu read the names of the nominees on the floor of the House as contained in a letter sent to the members by the Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano.

In a remark, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr. Raphael Nnabuife who spoke on behalf of other members, promised to uplift the State to a greater heights.

Meanwhile, a bill for a law to make provision for the establishment, functions and management of Greater Nnewi Development Agency and other related matters has passed the first reading.

Also,a bill for a law to establish Greater Onitsha Development Agency and other related matters passed the first reading during the plenary session .
