2019 MATRICULATION: ESUT OFFERS OVER 4,500 STUDENTS PROVISIONAL ADMISSION

Newly admitted students of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) are advised to shun social vices and engage in extra – curriculum activities.

The Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Luke Anike, gave the advice at the 38th Matriculation ceremony of the University where over 4,500 (four thousand, five hundred) students were offered provisional admission.

In an address on the occasion, Professor Anike reminded students on the need to imbibe virtues of good human relations, stressing that the University would not condone actions or behaviours that would tarnish its image.

According to Professor Anike, ESUT is willing to support students who keep to the mission of the school and make real effort to accomplish its objectives.

The Vice Chancellor while outlining some of the achievements of the University   (including improved infrastructure development, student friendly environment, appointment of sign interpreters for deaf students and building of ramps for physically challenged) enjoined the new students to take advantage of the opportunity to transform themselves positively.

In an interview, two Parents: Mrs. Mary Rose Onwuakpa and Mr. Onyemaechi Onwe, expressed the willingness to make academic pursuit of their children a priority.

Some of the matriculating students who spoke with Radio Nigeria promised to be of good behaviour and abide by the rules and regulations of the University in line with the oath they took during the event.
