12 FAMILIES OF DECEASED POLICE OFFICERS SMILE HOME WITH CHEQUES WORTH MILLIONS OF NAIRA

The zone 9 Police headquarters Umuahia Abia State has presented cheques worth millions of naira to families of dead officers and men of the zone who lost their lives while carrying out their national assignment.

Presenting the Cheque to the beneficiaries, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. BabaTijjani said the gesture was part of the activities for the Police Week as directed by the Inspector General of Police, Mr Adamu Abubakar.

While consoling the beneficiaries over the death of their beloved ones, Mr Tijjani advised them to take solace in God and make judicious use of the funds in upbringing of their children.

Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs Juliet Ada and Stanley Onuora thanked the Inspector General of Police for the gesture and promised to put it into  judicious use.

 Twelve families of dead Police men drawn from Anambra, Abia and Enugu States benefited from the gesture.
