THREE ABDUCTED GIRLS FREED IN LAGOS

Ambode-CP-OwoseniThree students abducted from their school, Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary, in Ikorodu area of Lagos have been freed.
The girls were kidnapped by gunmen while studying in their classes on Monday 29th of February.

It was gathered that the pupils were rescued in an overnight operation by the police while some of the kidnappers were arrested.
The Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the rescue and arrests.

“Yes, the girls have been rescued safely by the police in an overnight operation. We also made some arrests,” she said.

It will be recalled that the kidnappers last week demanded a ransom of N200 million before reducing it to N60 million as negotiations led by police authorities and the Anglican Church continued.

According to reports, the abductors created a hole on the school fence, near the science block,
through which they gained entrance into and exit out of the school.
Earlier versions of reports said the boys fought back to prevent the kidnap of their female colleagues
but where overpowered by the criminals who in3icted injuries on some of them.
