The Chairman South East and South South Governors Forum, Mr. Emmanuel Udom stated this while briefing newsmen at the end of their meeting held at the Imo State Government House, Owerri.
Mr. Udom who is also the Governor of Akwa Ibom State said the two zones were worried by the dearth of infrastructure and inadequate Federal Government’s presence in the two zones.
According to Mr. Udom, the zones would remain united and indissoluble Nigeria.
The forum commended the roles played by some patriots in instituting broad based negotiations between the zones of the north and the South East.
The host and Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha in a welcome address stressed that the nation needed unity of purpose and encouraged the spirit of togetherness.
Governors of Abia, Rivers, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Bayelsa and Deputy Governor of Anambra State attended the meeting.
