IGP COMMENCES INVESTIGATION INTO POLICE SHOOTING OF FRSC OFFICIALS IN ABIA STATE
The Police command in Abia State says the Inspector General of Police has directed for full scale investigation into the shooting of two officers of the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps by Policemen attached to the Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Mr. ChikwenduKalu on the Aba Port Harcourt road.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Umuahia, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. AdeleyeOyebade, who expressed shock at the incident promised that the command would ensure that justice and fairness prevailed in the matter.
Mr. Oyebade noted that all the parties connected to the ugly incident had been invited for questioning, stating that the two affected FRSC officials were responding to treatment.
