CORPS MEMBERS TOLD TO AVOID UNNECESSARY JOURNEYS

National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members have been urged to be of good behaviour while in camp and beyond their service year.

The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier-General Sule Kazaure gave the advice in a message to the 2018 Batch “A” Corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Umunya, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

The Director-General who was represented by the Acting Director Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development of the Scheme, Mrs. Mojibola Eboagwu noted that NYSC which was established forty-five years ago had achieved great success in nurturing Nigerian youths.

He enjoined the corps members to shun unnecessary journeys during their service year as most casualties recorded by the Scheme were from travels made by corps members while in service.

Earlier in a remark, the Coordinator of NYSC in Abia State, Mrs. Francesca Ifon said that the corps members since their arrival at camp had conducted themselves in a disciplined manner and had also adjusted to the regimented camp rules and regulations.
