30TH ENUGU INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR: NACCIMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT CALLS FOR QUICK PASSAGE OF THE 2019 BUDGET

The Federal Government says it has put in place a steering committee to develop a road map and policy for the implementation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Policy framework.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, made this known in a message to the opening of the 30th Enugu International Trade Fair.

The Minister, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant, Mr. Emeka Ifezulike, pointed out that the economic policies of the present administration were geared towards promoting and enhancing value addition to the economy.

Declaring the Fair open, the Enugu State Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo said the government was committed to the sustenance of achievements made towards ease of doing business in the State.

In a remark, a representative of the National President of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi, called for a quick passage of the 2019 national budget for growth and development of the economy.

The President, Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA, Mr. Emeka Udeze, called on the government to collaborate with organised private sector for the speedy development of micro, small, and medium enterprises in the country.

The ECCIMA President also announced the extension of the period of the Fair by two days to give more time to participants who joined from the just concluded Kaduna International Trade Fair.
