MAKE CONVENANT WITH GOD THIS YEAR — CLERGYMAN TELLS ABIA PEOPLE

Christians have been admonished to always walk with God.

The Archdeacon and Vicar of St. Silas Anglican Church Old Umuahia in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, the Venerable Ifeanyi Irokwe, gave the admonition in a New Year sermon entitled: “Have Covenant with God as Part of New Year Resolution.”

Venerable Irokwe said the first day of the year was a a special day for every body, a day which also marked the circumcision of Jesus Christ, eight days after Christmas.

He noted that while some people made positive resolutions during the New Year, some others were busy with negative resolutions, including going to cult and native doctors, as well as making enemies.

The clergyman encouraged Christians to have covenant with God, which would be a covenant of righteousness.

The church service featured songs of praise, whlie bible readings.
