GOVERNOR OKEZIE IKPEAZU’S MOTHER GOES HOME

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state over the demise of their mother madam Bessie Ikpeazu.

President Buhari whose message was delivered by the Governor of Imo state Owelle Rocha Okorocha during the burial church service of Madam Bessie Ikpeazu in umuobikwa in Obingwa local government area of Abia state urged the family to take solace in God as their mother lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation.

In a sermon, the President Eastern Nigeria Conference of Seventh Day Adventist church Pastor Bassey Udoh advised Christians to always see death as a necessary end that must come. He urged them to be prepared at all times by accepting Jesus Christ in their lives as no one knows when it would come.

Speaking shortly after the burial service one of the children of late madam Ikpeazu who is the Governor of Abia state Dr Okezie Ikpeazu described his mother as a true and devout Christian who loves to share
with the needy.

Correspondent Lawrence Nwokedi reports that dignitaries from far and
wide among whom were the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu,the
Governors of Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi , Cross River, Ekiti and Imo states
among others attended the burial.
