WORLD BANK TO PARTNER ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT IN EXECUTION OF PROJECTS

The World Bank Monitoring Community and Social Development Project,CSDP says it will collaborate with the Abia State Government towards the execution of some community projects in the area.

 

The World Bank Country Director, Community and Social DevelopmentProject in Abuja, Professor FolusoOkumadewa stated this when the team visited Abia State CSDP office in Umuahia.

He noted that such community projects were targeted at improving the lives of people in the rural areas especially the indigent ones.

 

Professor Okumadewa explained that CSDP had continued to play asupportive role in project monitoring and challenges facing allparticipating States as well as finding ways to address them.

 

He applauded the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for completing fifteen Community Social Development projects in the first phase of this year.

 

In a remark, the General Manager, Abia State CSDP, DrChinatuNjoku noted that the visit would be beneficial to the State.

 

He promised to put into practice, all that were learnt from the visit.
