UMAHI SWEARS IN NEW AGRIC COMMISSIONER

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has appointed Mr. Ikechukwu Nwobo as the new Commissioner for Agriculture in the State.

This followed the sacking of the former Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Chief Ogodo Alinome, over what the Governor described as noticeable lack of passion and commitment toward his duties.

At the swearing in ceremony at Government House Abakaliki, Chief Umahi described farming as the trade mark of the State and charged the new Commissioner to re-engineer government’s policies on agriculture for better performance.

Mr. Nwobo thanked the Governor for finding him worthy to serve and assured him of credible service delivery.

Until his appointment, Mr. Ikechukwu Nwobo, was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Renewable Energy.
