OSINBAJO CALLS FOR MORE PATRONAGE OF MADE IN NIGERIA GOODS

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo has reiterated Federal Government’s commitment to ensure the success of the N-power Youth empowerment scheme programme of the Federal Government.

Professor Osibanjo gave the assurance during the official launch of Multi Skill and Entrepreneurship Development centre at Umuobikwa in Obingwa Local Government area of Abia state.

According to the Vice President, the programme would be expanded and enriched to accommodate more participants.

He noted that the program would provide great opportunity for the Federal Government to train youths through technology driven methods.

While describing the programme as very suitable, Professor Osibanjo said through the programme, the Federal Government would show that it was possible for Nigerians to secure jobs easily without any connection.

Earlier, the Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, appealed to Nigerians to always patronize locally made products rather than buying imported goods.

Dr. Ikpeazu urged Federal Government to provide electricity to the Multi Skill and Entrepreneurship Centre through the Rural Electrification Agency.

The Vice President during the visit inspected Ariaria market in Aba where the Federal government is powering some shops through the Rural Electrification Agency.
