ANAMBRA TO TRAIN 100 YOUTHS AS PILOTS

Anambra State Government plans to train about one hundred youths as pilot in the aviation industry.

Governor Willie Obiano made this known while receiving the state’s first female pilot at Government House, Awka.

Governor Obiano said that the first phase of youths to be trained would comprise thirty females and twenty males in the Nigeria College of Aviation Zaria, Kaduna State.

Governor Obiano revealed that of the one hundred youths to be selected, two persons would emerge from each of the twenty one local government areas of the state.

He assured the people of the state of his administration’s determination to maintain youth empowerment.

The Governor further said that the initiative would be extended to all the secondary schools in the state.

Earlier, the first female pilot, who hails from Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area, Mrs. Obiageli ikejiaku Adelano, thanked the state government for keying into her initiative.

She pledged to give in her best in ensuring that the State Government achieved its vision.

Mrs. Adelano encouraged youths to pursue their dreams with passion noting, that her initiative was aimed at bridging the gap.
