AN NGO BRINGS NEW RAY OF HOPE FOR VICTIMS OF ELECTRONIC FRAUD

The Global Society for Anti Corruption Nigeria says it is at the fore front of ensuring Justice for the victims of electronic fraud and other social vices in the country.

The President of the organization, Mr Frankline Ezeona gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen in Enugu.

The Global Society for Anti Corruption Nigeria is a non governmental organization that aims at educating members of the public on the dangers of electronic fraud and other related vices.

The organization also helps fraud victims to recover their assets through the support of government and relevant agencies involved in the fight against corruption.

The President, Mr Franklin Chinedu Ezeona who said the organization had been in existence since 2006, enumerated some of the objectives of setting up the association to include promoting the image of Nigeria abroad and discouraging the youths against fraudulent practices through empowerment.

According to Mr. Ezeona, the Global Society for Anti Corruption Nigeria has among other achievements, assisted a foreigner who was defrauded by a Nigerian, recover his money through the support of the EFCC and facilitated the recalling of a dismissed police officer.

The South-East Zonal Resource Executive of the organization, Mrs Amaka Nweke said they had plans to organize workshops and lectures for secondary and tertiary students on the dangers of electronic fraud and other corrupt practices.
