OTTI PLEDGES SUSTAINED SUPPORT TO NIG LEGION

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, says his administration will not relent in its efforts towards improving the welfare of members of the Nigeria Legion in the state.

Governor Otti said this during the grand finale of the 2024 Armed Forces and Remembrance Day celebration in Umuahia.

He commended the military in their fight in tackling insurgency and insecurity in the country and pledged his administration’s commitment to assist families of the fallen heroes.

The Chairman Nigerian Legion, Abia State, Mr. Ambrose Nnabugwu, thanked Governor Otti for his support to the legion, especially in the area of increased subvention to its members.

Highlights were the laying of Wreaths at the cenotaph of the unknown soldier and the Governor’s release of white pigeons, which symbolized peace.
