Abia State Government says it will not relent in working tirelessly to mobilize necessary resources for infrastructural development of major cities in the state.

The state Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, made this known at the inauguration of three newly reconstructed roads in Aba.

The three newly reconstructed roads are the Umuimo road, the MCC/Old Express Road and Udeagbala Road.

Governor Otti, alongside the General Overseer, Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, Pastor Lazarus Mouka, described the reconstructed roads as alternative from the Enugu-Port Harcourt Express way into the busy Aba-Owerri road.

While noting that restoring the networks of urban roads in Aba and Umuahia was a strategic take off point, Governor Otti explained that quality roads were not just critical for quick movement of people but were indicative of determination of the government to welcome people and businesses.

Governor Otti pledged to reconstruct several other roads in nine local government areas later in the year through a special multilateral funding arrangement.

The Governor also expressed satisfaction with the speed of construction work at the Ossah-Okpara Square-Umuahia road and assured the residents that no road would be neglected in his construction policies.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Otumchere Oti said that the roads were of good quality with drainage and solar- powered street lights and charged the beneficiaries of the roads to protect them.

In their separate goodwill speeches on behalf of residents and business owners in the areas, the acting Medical Director, Abia State Teaching Hospital, ABSUTH, Professor, John Chikezie; the President, Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture, ACCIMA , Chief Jerry Kalu; and an industrialist, Ideh John Udeagbala thanked God for using Governor Otti to revive businesses in Aba and assured him of their prayers and continuous support in office.
