ABIA STATE JUDGES GET NEW VEHICLES

Abia State Government has presented five Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to five judges of the State High Court as official vehicles to enhance efficiency in their service delivery.
Handing over the official vehicles at the High Court Complex, Umuahia, Governor Alex Otti pledged his administration’s passion to restore the pride of place of the judiciary in the state.
The Governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, expressed commitment to ensure dispensation of justice and the rule of law in the State.
He applauded the cordial relationship that exists between the executive and judicial arms of government.
Receiving keys and vehicle documents, Abia State Chief Judge, Justice Lilian Abai, noted that Governor Alex Otti had shown that he is a judiciary-friendly Governor, since taking over the leadership of the state.
The Chief Judge thanked the Governor for providing the official vehicles for the judges and promised to consolidate on harmonious working relationship with the executive.
Also, one of the beneficiaries, Justice Okezie Enyinnaya, commended the Governor for the gesture and assured him that they would continue to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
