APGA WINS ISHIELU FED CONSTITUENCY POLL IN EBONYI

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Mr. Joseph Nwaobasi of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the Ishielu and Ezza North Federal Constituency Election conducted in Ebonyi State.

Declaring the result in Ezza North Local Government Area, the Collation Officer, Professor Augustine Ibegbu, announced that Mr. Nwaobasi polled 11,896, (eleven thousand eight hundred and ninety six) to defeat his closest rival, Mr. Emmanuel Nwite of the PDP who got 11,150 (eleven thousand one hundred fifty) votes.

Dr. Nora Alo of the All Progressives Congress garnered 10,085 (ten thousand, eighty five votes to come third in the election.

The declaration of the winners came after supplementary election conducted in some polling units in Ezza North Local Government Area of the state.
