BREAKING: INEC YET TO UPLOAD ELECTION RESULTS IN EBONYI

REPORTER: AMECHI ODO

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ebonyi State, Mrs. Onyeka Ugochi, alongside security chiefs, stormed Collation Centres across the state this morning following noticable delay in the Collation and submission of results to INEC Headquarters in Abakaliki.

The situation was more worrisome as no result from the 2,902 polling units had been uploaded to the INEC result viewing dashboard as at 11am.

In Abakaliki, the REC was sighted querying the Collation Officers who attributed the delay to the Supervisor incharge of ward 10, Azuiyiokwu Girls Secondary School, whose whereabouts could not be traced.

Inquiries on her home address by heads of security agencies proved abortive as the collation officers alleged that she was not picking her calls.

Following the development, the REC ordered the Electoral Officer in charge of the Local Government to evacuate all the Collation officers and the incomplete results to INEC Headquarters to speed up the job.

It was gathered that she also stormed other INEC Offices in the state to ensure that results from Ebonyi State were completed and uploaded accordingly.

Radio Nigeria observed that the State Collation Centre in INEC Headquarters, Abakaliki had been activated as at the time of filing this reports with few observers and media professionals spotted.
