REPORTER: BEN ILECHUKWU

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has described the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections in the area as generally peaceful and orderly.

Governor Soludo, who was speaking after casting his votes at polling unit 002, Ofiyi Umueze, Isuofia in Aguata LGA, commended the citizens for trooping out enmasse to exercise their franchise.

Governor Soludo, while noting that the exercise was characterized by some logistical hiccups and lateness of the INEC officials in most parts of the state, expressed optimism that every registered voter, who turned out to vote would be allowed to do so.

The Anambra State Governor commended the peaceful conduct of the election even as he remarked that the 2023 BVAS was much faster than the 2021 BVAS used during the governorship election that brought him to power.

The Governor further extolled INEC for conducting the election as slated.
